After ten years having worked as a salesman for different companies, I wanted to see a bit more of the world. So, I bought a ticket to Australia. After having visited 'down under' I travelled through a number of countries. Cambodia was a place I really enjoyed and consequently I stayed here.
When I met Menno we decided to start a travel agency in Cambodia: Local Adventures. We specialize in 'off the beaten track' travels. At the end of 2004 I married a Cambodian girl, Lily, who also works for Local Adventures.
Mr. Sinan introduced me to the COLT orphanage (back then it was called SCCO). While the intentions of board and staff were genuine, I felt there was room for improvement. So, I decided to give time and effort to the purpose of COLT. Together with the other members of the Board, I wholeheartedly want to work in order to give these children a better future.
