Trip to Angkor - Picture Page

In June 2006 the children of COLT orphange in Phnom Penh went on a trip to Siem Reap. The highlight was of course the visit to Angkor Wat, the national symbol of Cambodia which most Khmers never get to see with their own eyes. And so, volunteer Nanneke decided that her 'farewell party' would be at Angkor.

Of course you can't spend too long a time at the temples, so we also took them to a swimming pool at a luxurious hotel, and at Baca Villa they enjoyed a BBQ where they could eat as much as they wanted.

It was a very enjoyable trip, not least because of the children, who were excited and happy all three days long. They will not easily forget this trip.

Here are some pictures made during the trip to Angkor (click on the thumbnail for a larger view).
